I attended a lecture tonight by Imam Gyasi Mckinzie from Memphis. He encouraged us to stay away from sins by relating to us the ill effects of sinning in this life. He talk was largely based upon a book written by Ibn Qayyim. I really enjoyed it. May Allah help us all to stay away from sins.
